To ensure your satisfaction and comfort, take a few minutes to get your measurements. To get accurate measurement, we recommend that someone helps to you take your measurements. and follow the size guide and select the right size before placing an order.
How to Measure for Shalwar Kameez / Punjabi Suit ?
Measurements should be taken over body suit or undergarments. To ensure a comfortable fit, when measuring, hold tape comfortably (not tight) around the body.
Chest Measurement
Stand with your heels together. Hold tape lightly and measure across fullest part of the chest, under arm and across the widest part of back.
Waist Measurement
Stand with your stomach in natural position; do not pull in your stomach. Measure firm but not tight around natural waistline.
Hip Measurement
Stand with your heels together. Measure around the widest part of the hip-line, at the top of the legs, around 7-9 inches below your natural waistline. Hold the tape lightly not tight.
Salwar Suit / Shalwar Khameez Size Guide
Once you have taken measurements, how to select the Right Size Salwar Kameez? Some Kameez Styles are semi fitted while others are loose. It depends on personal style. Some like to wear it semi fitted others like it loose.
In
general, our garments have 2-3 inches ease (looseness) to ensure
comfortable fit. In other words, 2-3 inches larger than body
measurements. Individual garments may vary depending on the style and
cut. If your body measurement falls between two sizes. Select the
larger size.
The table below provides a general guideline for Body
(Chest) along with Garment measurements.
- First select the Khameez (top) size.
- The Salwaar (pants/trousers) that comes as a matching piece can be read of across the chart. Check this against your hip measurements. As the Shalwaar has a drawstring to adjust to different waist sizes, it is the Kamiz that has to be selected first. It is only in rare cases, you may have to select a different Kamis size for a better fitting Shalwar.
- Kameez and Salwar come as a pair only. That is you cannot select Khameez and Shalwar sizes independently.
